About The Labradoodle, Mini / Labrador-Poodle:

The Labradoodle originated here in the states in the late 90s, the purpose was to get the personality of the Lab, which cant be beat, but with a little less of the shedding. We sell both first and second generation, either way they will always have some percentage of Lab in them so we only sell them as low shed and low allergy dog. If you have allergies these may not be a great choice for you. These are Mini Labradoodle which means one or both parents are a Mini. They are highly intelligent, friendly and are very family oriented. They will always be ready for a good game of tug and they do love to play. Most Doodles tend to retain the retrieving instinct of the Lab. Due to their friendliness, even to strangers, they don't make the best guard dog, and they love everyone. They are loyal to their family and want nothing more than to be with you. They are eager to please and want to obey. They are unbelievable with children of all ages and with other pets as well. They are social dogs and want to be around people. They do require a moderate amount of exercise, running around the house may not be enough. A good walk and some play time in the back yard or a trip to the doggie parks will work. Due to their high intelligence and their desire to please, training should not be difficult. Let them know what it is that you want of them and they will do it. Make sure that they understand what it is that you are telling them. Always use positive praise and some treats to solidify your point. Their coat should end up being a little wavy, and this should not be hard to take care of. Use a hard comb or pin brush to comb out several times a week and they will stay mat free. An occasional trip to the groomers will help to keep them neat and tidy if needed. This is an excellent choice for the first time buyer and will make a wonderful addition to the family.
