About This Breed:
This is a mix of a Yorkshire Terrier and a Pomeranian. Chances are that they might shed a little and will not be good for those with allergies. They are outgoing and friendly and have no idea of how small they really are. They will be very loyal to their family but may pick a favorite buddy. They are alert and should let you know if something is going on they don’t like. They will be good with children and other pets but should be socialized to that environment at an early age. Young children need to be taught how to handle a small dog at a young age. They will make an excellent companion who will love to play with its toys and then curl up on your lap for a nap. They are active and playful but their exercise needs will easily be met in the house and extra outside activities will not be needed but still will be enjoyed. They will also enjoy going for short walks but will enjoy it more if they are in a stroller. They are an intelligent dog but you may get a little bit of stubbornness with them. Training really should not be that hard, keep it consistent and use some good old praise and maybe a treat or two to get your point across. They will catch on. If you find yourself not getting anywhere in your training with them then you will want to enroll in some puppy classes, this should help. If you’re having trouble than don’t wait too long. You will want to comb them out at least two or three times a week with a hard comb. You won’t need to go to the groomers unless you want them washed and trimmed up a bit. This pup will add some fun to the family day.
