About This Breed:
A Pug-a-Nese is a mix between a Pug and a Havanese. They will be affectionate, sensitive to your needs and anxious to please. They will always be in a happy mood, which will be nice to come home to after a hard or bad day. They have a sturdy body and are always ready for a good game of toss the ball. Since they are smaller in size, the children will need to learn how to handle a smaller dog. They are trustworthy and loyal. Around strangers you may see some of the clownish Pug personality come through. They will not make the best alarm system and if you’re lucky they should bark very little. They are even tempered and intelligent. They will be good with children of all ages and great with other pets as well. They are playful and active but most of their needs can be met in the house. They will enjoy going outside and playing as well but most likely not so much in the very hot summer days when it may be harder for them to breathe well due to the shortened nose. Since they want to please you training should be easy. As they like to eat, treats will get you far. The parent breeds are one that sheds and one that does not. I would expect them to shed a little but not to be good for any known allergy sensitivity. Use a slicker brush on them to remove any dead hairs and keep their coat looking shinny. Wash as needed with a good quality natural dog shampoo. This little one is lively and fun and will keep you laughing at her upbeat nature.
